Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

Springwood Surgery offers the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), which allows you to choose or nominate a pharmacy to collect your medicines or appliances from. Springwood Surgery then sends your prescription electronically to the place you have selected.

This means:

  • If you collect your repeat prescription from your GP Surgery, you will not have to visit your GP Practice to collect your prescription, saving time.
  • You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
  • You may not have to wait as long because your repeat prescriptions can be prepared before you arrive at the pharmacy.

For further details please contact the pharmacy you wish to nominate.

Care Navigator

Springwood Surgery will soon be offering patients a new service called “Care Navigator”.

Care Navigation offers patients the choice to access the most appropriate service first. Care Navigators will be trained to confidentially sign post the patient and offer the patient the choice to go straight to the service which best meets their health and well-being needs.

Care Navigation training is designed to provide GP reception and health care professionals with the knowledge and skills to inform and signpost patients to appropriate local health and well-being services in a safe and effective way.
